Nokia 6260 Slide

Nokia is going to release its new 6260 Slide. Its design resembles Nokia 6210 but it not S60 based smartphone but usual Series 40 mobile phone. It has 2.4 inch screen with 320x480 px resolution, 200 Mb built in memory, microSD card slot (up to 8 Gb), 5 Mp camera with double LED flashgun and video recording function support (640x480 px, 15 fps). There is also 2.5 mm audio jack (it can be used as TV-out), Bluetooth with A2DP and AVRCP, GPS and Wi-Fi modules. In addition Nokia 6260 Slide supports HSDPA and HSPUA standards. Approximate price is $350.

OnPar device for golf-lovers

OnPar GPS navigator is positioned as special device for golf-lovers. It isn’t unique but looks more attractive than other devices for golf. The producer uses “e2e” design. This fact means that OnPar has big touch screen which diagonal is 3.5 inches. This coming navigator shows holes’ location and distance between them and green zone. Built in memory is able to store up to 300 courses. The sale will start in the February.

Pharos Traveler 117 communicator

Pharos Traveler 117 communicator by Pharos Science $ Applications successfully passed FFC. That means this device will become available in US shops. As many other mobile devices by Pharos Traveler 117 has advanced GPS features. There is also 2.8 inch touch screen with VGA resolution, 2 Mp camera, Qualcomm MSM7201-90 400 MHz CPU, 256 Mb ROM, 128 Mb RAM, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR. Supported network standards are GSM/GPRS/EDGE and HSDPA/UMTS.

Samsung Show (W7900)

Samsung Show is the first company’s mobile phone which has projector. This device is also known as W7900. It has 3.2 inch OLED touch screen with 400x240 px resolution, 5 Mp camera, 0.3 Mp camera for video calls and DLP-projector which was designed by Texas Instruments company. This mobile device supports both second and third generation network standards and HSDPA (up to 7.2 Mb/s). The projector supports 480x320 px picture resolution at 1.3 meter distance. Samsung W7900 will become available this year.

LG CF360 mobile phone

AT&T mobile operator will soon introduce new LG CF360 mobile phone. This sliding device is heir of LG CU515 and is assigned for people who want to have cheap phone with goon sound features. It is known that LG CF360 will have 1.3 Mp camera, Bluetooth module, microSD memory card slot and AT$T Navigator service support. There is no any information about price of this mobile device but it is expected that it will be announced by the end of this month.

Coming Samsung Louve and Pivot

It is rumored that Samsung company is going to introduce two new communicators – Louve and Pivot. It is said that Louve (according to some sources Louvre) resembles of HTC TyTN II. It is sliding phone with QWERTY keyboard. Samsung Louve will have 3.2 Mp camera and run on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. Its user interface is the same that Samsung i900 Witu has.
Sasmung Pivot is heir of Samsung i780. It will have classic shape factor and QWERTY. There will be also 5 Mp camera with LED flash gun, AGPS support, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules.

LG UX280 Wine

LG company together with U.S. Cellular mobile operator introduced LG UX280 Wine mobile phone. It is clamshell phone and belongs to middle class. The list of technical features involves 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, 240x320 px TFT screen, GPS module. The LG UX 280 is available under U.S. Cellular for $29.95 after a mail-in rebate, and comes with a two-year service agreement under the cellular provider. But you can buy it in free sale for $180.

Routon P760 MID

Routon company introduced new P760 mobile internet device. However it is not usual MID but something more interesting. This new mobile device has 4.8 inch touch screen with 800x480 pixels resolution, ARM11 533 MHz or 667 MHz CPU, 4 or 8 GB SSD, 128 Mb RAM, 2 Mp camera and 2000 mAh battery. In addition P760 supports CDMA 1X, GSM/EDGE, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR network standards and has GPS module. It measures a compact 166 x 88 x 16mm, has a dedicated numeric keypad, and weighs 250g. Routon P760 MID runs on Linux OS.
Other options include an integrated FM transmitter and DVB-T digital TV tuner. The software package on the show floor included browser and media player applications. Routon are currently looking for distributors for the P760.

Some G2 phone photos

Gizmodo source published some spy photos of future T-Mobile G2 mobile device by HTC. As we can see it is not very similar to G1 – it thinner and has different shape factor. This device has no QWERTY keyboard and resembles HTC Touch 3G communicator. There is also 3.2 Mp camera. It is said that this Android based smartphone will be released by the beginning of the summer.

FR68 and FR6000 devices by Motorola

Motorola company ahs just introduced two new industrial communicators – Motorola FR68 and Motorola FR6000. As many other devices of such class both communicators have big size and protected cases. The only difference between FR68 and FR6000 is design – they have the same list of technical features. Both of them run on Windows Mobile, support third generation networks, have Marvell XScale PXA312 624 MHz CPU, 240x320 px screen, IR port, Bluetooth 2.0, bar-code scanner, Wi-Fi and GPS modules.

Samsung R470 TwoStep

According to the latest world financial situation mobile phones’ producers introduce more and more device which belong to budget class. One of such devices is Samsung R470 TwoStep. It is clamshell phone which is assigned for music tracks play. To stress this fact R470 has special buttons on its front side and stereo loud speakers. As for the list of technical features there are 1.3 Mp camera, 2 inch 176х220 px screen, Bluetooth module, microSD memory card slot (up to 8 Gb), Built in battery provides more up to 3 hours of talk mode. Available colors are orange, purple and red.

GiiNii Movit Mini Android tablet

Movit Mini mobile Internet device prototype by GiiNii was demonstrated on CES 2009. This MID runs on Android operating system and its list of features reminds of iPod Touch’s one. Unfortunately this mobile device supports only Wi-Fi networks but not usual mobile ones. GiiNii Movit Mini has 4.3 inch touch screen with 480x272 px resolution, Bluetooth 2.0 module, 256 Mb built in memory and microSD memory card slot. The producer is going to release this MID by the beginning of the summer.

HTC S743 WM based smartphone

HTC (High Tech Computer) company showed its new HTC S743 Windows Mobile 6.1 based smartphone on CES 2009 exhibition. This sliding device has not only 12 button keyboard but also sliding QWERTY. In spite of the fact that this phone combines functionality and stylish design some users can be disappointed with the fact that 2.4 inch QVGA screen doesn’t support touch technology. It is also known that HTC S743 supports HSDPA standard, has Bluetooth 2.0 module and 3.2 Mp camera. It is expected that this nice smartphone will become available in the first quarter of this year but unfortunately there is no any information about its price.

Nokia 5710 XpressMusic

In November 2007 it was rumored that heir of Nokia 5700 mobile phone would appear in the near future. But there was no any new information for the last year. But today US Nokia site published photos of Nokia 5710 XpressMusic mobile phone. AS we can see it has the same design that 5700 has. But the list of technical features is more impressive – 3.2 Mp camera with autofocus and LED flashgun, GPS module, microSD memory card slot and Bluetooth 2.0 module with A2DP profile support.

New Walkman series players

Sony Ericsson company have announced two new players which belong to Walkman X-series. These devices have not only Wi-Fi networks support but also OLED screen. This 3 inch touch screen has WQVGA resolution. This player has also full scale web browser and YouTube service support. There is also FM radio. Supported file extension are MP3, WMA, AAC, L-PCM and AVC (H.264/AVC), MPEG-4, WMV DRM. The series consists of two models - NWZ-X1051 with 16 Gb built in memory and NWZ-X1061 with 32 Gb. The sale will start by the beginning of the summer.

Sony Ericsson W715 Walkman series phone

Sony Ericsson company has just introduced another Walkman series mobile phone which traditionally combines high quality communication standards and perfect sound. Sony Ericsson W715 will be available only in Vodafone mobile operator’s shops and will have built in Vodafone Find&Go navigation service which will help you not only to find the shortest walkway but also to find the nearest shops and restaurants. In addition there is Google Maps service support. W715 is based on W705 and has the same quality of sound as W980 has. There is also Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP, A-GPS, 3.2 Mp camera with 4x digital zoom, M2 memory card slot and FM radio with RDS. The screen of this sliding phone has 2.4 inch diagonal and 320x240 px resolution. Supported network standards are GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/90018001900 MHz), WCDMA/HSDPA (900/2100 MHz).

Motosurf A3100 touch screen device

Motorola company introduced its rival of other touch screen communicators. It is Motosurf A3100. The main destination of this mobile device is web surfing so it supports HSDPA technology (up to 7.2 Mbit/s). It is also known that Motosurf A3100 runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and its list of performance attributes includes 2.8 inch touch screen with QVGA resolution, 3 Mp camera, 128 Mb RAM and 256 Mb ROM. The platform of this device is Qualcomm MSM 7201A (like Touch Diamond has). In spite of the fact that Motosurf A3100 is the first company’s device with such shape factor but we can easily recognize Mototola’s design.
