Samsung Jet 2 announce

Recently Indian subdivision of Samsung announced the heir of its popular high-end phone. Samsung Jet 2 (S8003) features 800 MHz processor, 3.1 inch AMOLED touchscreen display with 800x480 px resolution, GPS, and 3.5 mm audio jack. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and Wi-Fi. Samsung Jet 2 has TouchWiz 2.0 user interface that supports Motion UI and Media Gate 3D. There is also DNSe and SRS Sound Effects technology support. There is no information about European or US release.

Toshiba TG02 and Toshiba K01

Toshiba announced its two coming devices on Mobile World Congress 2010. Both Toshiba TG02 and Toshiba K01 are based on 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, run on Windows Mobile 6.5.3 operating system with SPB Shell user interface, and have 4.1 inch capacitive touchscreen display with WVGA resolution. The difference between these two communicators is that Toshiba K01 is horizontal slider with full QWERTY keyboard. Other characteristics are 3 Mp camera with autofocus, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, Wi-Fi, microSD card slot, and GPS module. No word about release date and price.

New version of myTouch 3G

Today T-Mobile released upgraded version of myTouch 3G communicator. In contrast to original this mobile device has better set of characteristics but the design is the same. Updated T-Mobile myTouch 3G has 288 Mb RAM, 3.5 headphones jack and 8 Gb memory card as a unit. Besides the list of pre-installed applications is also updated and includes Swype (new system of text inputting), Barcode Scanner, Music Player, myAccount, and Visual Voicemail. New version of T-Mobile myTouch 3G has been already available and costs $150 with two year contract.

LG Arena Max

Wi-Fi Alliance certificated this mobile device in November. But only now we have some its photos. In contrast to LG Arena this phone has more impressive set of technical characteristics. It is known that LG Arena Max (LU9400) is equipped with 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.5 mm audio jack, 5 Mp camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and GPS module. It is expected that this mobile device will be announced at Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona.

Nokia 6303i classic

Nokia has just unveiled the “heir” of Nokia 6303 classic. Unfortunately Nokia 6303i classic doesn’t belong to smartphones class and runs on Series 40 platform. The design of Nokia 6303i classic is the same but the list of technical characteristics looks more impressive. This phone has 2.2 inch screen with 240x320 px resolution, 3.2 Mp camera with autofocus and double LED flash, FM radio with RDS, 55 Mb built-in storage, microSD memory card slot (up to 8 Gb), Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, 3.5 mm audio jack and 1050 mAh battery. Besides the producer optimized power consumption and increased work time. This phone will become available by the end of the first quarter of 2010 and will cost EUR105.
